Yesterday as I was making notes and allowing my mind the freedom to wonder around aimlessly I begin to think about "What It Would Be Like To . . . . .
Let me first make this disclaimer - I enjoy my life and appreciate all that I have had,in no way does this list mean that I am not enjoying or disappointed in my life. Just day dreaming mind wondering aimless with thoughts. . . .
What Would It Be Like To . . .
Live at Buckingham Palace - and who exactly would be your friends? Your neighbor? what would you do everyday. . . . Do you think the Queen scrapbooks? Or is creative with all those leftover hats? Would she ever paint a room Lime Green and have funky type furniture in hot pinks and purples?
To to the grocery store and be able to purchase anything and everything you wanted, without having to go strictly what was on your grocery list? Or just to be able to purchase everything on your grocery list without having to worry if you are still within your budget . . . .
To have free and full access to all the art supplies and a subscription to "ALL" of Somerset Studio publications . . . .
To buy clothes and shoes and accessories for each day of the week and not have to worry about the price or whether or not it was an actual need, but actually a want because you absolutely adore that outfit. . . .
To go on vacation wherever you would like to go and not worry about having a tight budget and buy gifts for all your friends and family that are wonderful and not just a plastic flamingo or key chain that you paid 5 times more than it was worth, because they will be disappointed if you did not bring back something. . .
To have the vehicle that you really want and not have to worry about whether it will get you to and from work or to be able to just drive it no matter where you wanted to go without worrying if would make it there and back. . . .
To live in a home that each room had just the right space with just the right furniture so everything had a place. . .l Like your sewing machine and all the threads and bobbins and pins and needles without having to drag it out and put it back. (Laughing out loud).. . . .
To call Paul Deen up and say hi y'all how's it going today - what's for dinner!
Of course my list could go on from the everday to the whimsical.
Over the years I find that it is fun to see just how the Lord gives me creative ideas whether going to the grocery store, or helpoing find the bargain of what I am seeking or enjoying a moment when I stumble on a special treat.
On the bookshelf a shoe that I covered in a wonderful piece of fabric to mimic an expensive pair of shoes I well out of my price range reminds me of the gift of creative artsy whimsy I have been blessed with. This shoe has brought laughter to many over the years and many complements during the season that I wore them. The mate was given to a special young lady that I share a kindred spirit who embraces those joys of life as I do.
On a side note, as much as I was all geared up to work on my new Connect the Dots Journal - I alas fell asleep on the sofa. When I woke up - well it was bedtime.
But there is always tonight . . . .
What is your "What Would It Be Like List?"
