Did you just think I had walked away and had nothing really to say or share?
Did you think I did not want to be a part of the world of blogging?
Did you wonder why all of a sudden I became silent?
If you had one of the questions, then WRONG!!
Two days after stating I was getting ready to write, I had a waltz with an 18 Wheeler. The 18 Wheeler won, but not really. I won because I am alive. My injuries were somewhat minor. A broken collar bone, a mild concussion and a little gash to the left side of my head.
It is with a humble heart, that I thank my daughter and son in law for taking good care of me. A few close friends checked in on me. How thankful I was to be apart of Christmas this year.
Believe it or not I actually went to Deer Camp, which for me is a first! My children backed me up and we headed off to celebrate New Year with relaxed clothes, good books to read, or at least I did. My daughter brought her scrap booking and my son in law headed to the deer stand. Of course my grandsons had their toys. Tripp did go to the deer stand with his dad, but he really enjoyed just hanging out.
The New Year brought the a purchase of another vehicle, PT each week, and of course lots of pondering and thoughts of life - the why and wherefores.
Saturday, after watching my grandson play his very first basketball game,I took time to go on a date with myself - one of those things I absolutely love to do. I go to Borders, order a large dark roast coffee and pull all the wonderful latest issues of Advanced Photo Shop and other Techie mags, along with a few Somerset Studio Mags to pour through to see what was new and what wet my appetite for creative inspiration!!!
And it did just that! the coffee was great, the mags were filled with great info as always, and the folks that were there were fascinating.
A group of gals with on man, were talking about a book one of the ladies was or had written. They laughed and talked and laughed and gave suggestions. The man with them talked with a very southern falsetto voice with droplets of sweetness. He seemed to give the impression he was a established writer giving loads of suggestions. One of the ladies tried to sound like Urkle and kept quoting the line "Did I do that?" They had a great time.I had a great time just listening to folks having fun and lots of laughs - not talking woe is me!
A group of older men were in deep conversation over sports. It is still hard for me to realize that older men get together probably more than older women to "gossip". This is so fun.
It was a great date!!
I have been back at work for almost two weeks now. Monday mornings I go to PT and it has been really hard. You don't realize how much your muscles and bones can hurt when they are "sick". But I am making the most of it, so they can get well fast! It was so good to be back at work.
Well, I am heading to bed. A little later than I had planned, but I wanted to pop in to say Here I am - back with lots of items to share.
One thing I did begin this weekend, is making a organization of my pixs. I have began with my digital ones. I began making an outline of the easiest way of finding them. If you have any suggestions - pass them on. I have even made an excel spread sheet to keep up with them. This may be over the top.
I hope you have not all disappeared, since I was MIA.
So stop back by and have a few laughs with me.
