Creative Soul Mates. . . .

There is lots to be said for Soul Mates. I don't know if one can choose a Soul Mate, or just some how divinely give, but everyone needs a creative soul mate or two. . . .

I myself have been blessed with at least two! These two I consider to be my most "Creative Soul Mates" - Even today - they make me smile - make me laugh - make me giggle all over inside and out! They make me see life as a great big canvas - and permission to add dramatic color, texture and even color outside the box! For they so allow me to dance like no one is watching!!!!!! And of course to twirl and twirl and twirl. . . . . . .

Ok, This morning! A picture arrived of one of my creative soul mates. Doesn't it just say it all - This is not how she started off when she went to bed, but no one knows what took place during the night - although I am sure she was called up into one of those fairy tale moments where she had to go danced and celebrate and have tea with other creative soul mates! Look how she ended her night - still with her hand raised in total happiness!!! Sooo peaceful!



Of course I have not yet had a chance to write a story to go along or alter it in anyway - but you know I will!!!

She is truly what I call a creative being - whether awake or asleep.

Years ago the following picture was one of my inspiration photographs to bring whimisical alterations within the assistance of Photoshop. Researching all sorts of filters and colors and sketch options, A whole world of creative art and stories beganto pull me into the Whimsey of bringing the world of imagination from just a phtograph.

When I look at my dear little friend - whether face to face or in a pose like the one below - Great stories of a great adventures and fun always arise.

And of course in my stash of photographs and altered sketches, I have a whole stack of wonderful stories of adventure and encounters. Who knows maybe a great book one day for all to read and enjoy!

Now this next "Altered_Photo" I adore for the rich imagination that immediately arises - doesn't it say so much about those wonderful dolls and stuffed animals that give us security and comfort! She is truly a doll herself. . Dreaming peacefully of far away places with strange sounding names - full of adventues . . . Maybe even a picnic or a tea party or two, wouldn't you like to know what she is dreaming!



My other most precious creative soul mate is my grandson Tripp. He truly rocks my world. There is nothing I love better than those moments when we are together! Whether it is spinning a tale, hosting an original game show, creating great works of art or long talks about everything you can imagine!

On a recent outing a local Coffee Shop I grabbed this moment fast from my phone camera! Later I began playing with it in Photoshop with different filters, colors and effects. Below are two of my favorite:

This one has sort of that ole hippy era - Age of Aquarius feel. . . The quote: "Dreams Dancing through the Corners of My Mind; Dreams of the Future - The Unknown of the Tomorrows, not yet Revealed" (Sounds sort of hippy doesn't it.)



As you can see below, a whole different effect from using monogramatic gradiantsgiving an almost a newspaper - antique feel.



So there you go - Two of my awsome Creative Soul Mates - a little peek inside my Altered Photos. I certainly hope this brought a smile to your face and a tickle to your creative soul to view life in a whole realm of Imagination. . . . . .
